COVID-19 will leave a lot of vacancies in business parks and other industrial areas and you are going to see a lot of unconventional uses for these spaces as landlords accept whatever tenants they can find from Kiddies Play & Party Venues to Pole Dancing Fitness Studios.

What is a Pole Dancing Fitness Studio?
“Pole Fitness is an extension of pole dancing that uses the pole to its maximum potential as a versatile piece of fitness equipment. It works the whole body, improving muscle tone, flexibility, coordination, posture as well as upper body and core strength.” – Pole Motion

So in a pole fitness studio there is an instructor who teaches students how to pole dance – yes, the domain of strippers is now a favourite of soccer moms globally.

It is one of the hottest fitness trends right now (not sure if it will stay a trend or fizzle as a fad like belly dancing did).

Some people think of it as sensual but I’ve heard it is quite physically demanding on the body. Apparently, it also boosts self-confidence, I personally can’t see dancing vertically around a pole boosting self-confidence but what do I know?

How to start this business
You need a space to build the pole infrastructure. I would personally favour a larger space as I mentioned in the opening paragraph.
You need an instructor, maybe a former stripper (some places uses former circus people even)
And you are in business, it seems a bit risky so you should have a lawyer draw up an indemnity form.

There are a few things to consider
You will need to be open extended hours, a lot of clients will only come after work. Yes, you will get your stay at home moms that want to come and do their “fitness”.
A large space is required, you basically going to be building a dance studio with poles and the poles need to be built properly as people’s lives can depend on it.
